Madeira Friends is a home for connection, creativity, and shared experiences. Rooted in the island’s welcoming spirit, we bring together locals, digital nomads, remote workers, and travelers to collaborate, explore, and grow.

Through fun activities, meetups, events, co-working, giving-back, and cultural experiences, we cultivate an environment where friendships flourish organically, ideas thrive, and everyone feels a true sense of belonging.

Highlights 2024

  • If 2024 was big, we cannot wait for what 2025 will bring!

  • From meetups to lunches, from workouts to dog-walking, from going to local schools to planting trees, from parties to conferences, we do it all…

  • Every month, we onboard 100-200 new people into the community, it sounds crazy right?

  • We reached 150+ madeirafriends.org supporters! Without our supporters we wouldn’t be here, become one if you can!

  • Whatever you need, we’ve got it. A group for accommodation, tax or legal, fitness, hiking, yoga, you name it.

  • We found accommodation for many of our supporters. A place to stay is one of the most important things when coming to Madeira!

  • We’re givers. not takers. Giving is so important in our community and volunteering allows us to do great things, makes us belong and helps us integrate with the locals.

  • And maintained. In 2025 we’re taking things to the next level by reforesting 10.000 sqm of land from scratch!

  • We started building our hub. A place where locals and internationals can meet, work, hangout, collaborate and the rest is magic. Sharing knowledge and opportunities is part of our mission!

  • We won’t mention how many new couples… But in Madeira, love is definitely in the air!
